Using my Blog

Using this blog will help me to communicate with parents and students more effectively. I will be able to post assignments, projects, and upcoming tests, as well as, letting parents and students know what is happening throughout the pod.

This blog will also allow students and parents to comment on the science curriculum and/or ask questions as need be.

A Little About Me: Mrs. Burg

Welcome to the 2008/2009 school year. My name is Jenni Burg. I will be teaching 8th grade science to your child. This will be my fifth year of teaching in the Sturgis School District. Before I came to Sturgis I was a kindergarten through sixth grade physical education teacher. My bachelor degree comes from Central Michigan University in Health Fitness and Preventive Rehabilitation. After graduation I attended Olivet College where I received my teaching certification in elementary education, science, and health physical education and recreation. I am currently attending Western Michigan University where I am pursuing a master’s degree in counselor education.

I am the assistant cross country coach of 6th – 8th graders.

I have been married for two years and my husband and I have started a family of our own, keeping us very busy.
